Transmission Rebuilt With:

All Rebuilt T-45 5 Speed Transmissions feature a Master Overhaul Bearing/Synchronizer/Seal Kit (Part#: BK250WS). Any Hard Parts, Example Sliders, Shift Forks, or Gears needing to be replaced are replaced with OE Genuine Parts when Rebuilt.

Transmission Shipped Via Truck Freight:

All Rebuilt T-45 5 Speed Transmission are shipped via Truck Freight. Truck Freight Shipping is already included in the Price of the Transmission, given the Transmission is being shipped anywhere in the Continental U.S.

Return Freight of Transmission to our Warehouse:

The Return Freight of the Core is the customer’s responsibility. If the Core is not shipped to our Warehouse before taking Receipt of Rebuilt Transmission, the Return Freight of the Core will need to be Paid (+$135.00). We will send a Bill of Lading via Fax when the Core is ready to be picked up. However, it is the customer’s responsibility to “Palletize” the Core being returned and notify us that it is ready to be picked up.

Please remember if you select "Sending Core After" from the Drop-Down Menu, you will see the price increase $385.00 in the Check-Out. This $385.00 Covers the Following:

-Core Charge = $250.00 (Refundable once Core is Returned and Deemed Acceptable) -Return Truck Freight = $135.00

Core Exchange Mandatory:

1.) Core may be either Exchanged in Up Front before Rebuilt Transmission is sent out, or after Taking Receipt of Rebuilt Transmission.

2.) Core Exchanged in must be from one of the following vehicles:

A. 1996-98 Ford Mustang GT 4.6L

B. 1996-98 Ford Mustang Cobra 4.6L

C. 1999-01 Ford Mustang GT 4.6L (Electronic Speedometer)

D. 1999-01 Ford Mustang Cobra 4.6L (Electronic Speedometer)

Core Exchange Requirements:

Core must have Good Case, Bellhousing, and Tailshaft Housing (Not Cracked/Damaged).

Warranty:

There is a 90 Day "Limited" Warranty on this Rebuilt Transmission. The Warranty covers the "Craftsmanship" of the Unit. The Warranty covers the following items:

1.) Leaks due to improper "Sealing".

2.) Shifting Problems not associated to "Improper Clutch Adjustment/Disengagement.

3.) Vibration(s) not associated with "Improper" Bellhousing Alignment or "Faulty" Rear.

The 90 Day "Warranty" does not cover the following:

1.) If the Transmission is run low or out of Fluid. This includes if the customer does not put Transmission Fluid in Transmission before Driving.

2.) Abuse. Each Rebuilt Transmission has a Torque Rating. This Torque Rating needs to be one of the most important "factors" in making a Manual Transmission Decision. There is not a Gear Company in the World that "Warranties" Broken/Damaged Gears!

3.) R&R. This is the Removal and/or Installation of Transmission. Astro Performance does not cover nor pay for any Labor Charges incurred.

4.) Synchronizer Failure due to Clutch not being properly Adjusted.

5.) Freight. If there is an issue it is the customer's responsibility to return the Core at their own shipping expense.

Break-In Procedure:

500 Miles of Normal Street Driving. After 500 Miles it is important that the customer "Readjust" the Clutch. If not, Synchronizer Failure could result within a Short Period of time.

Transmission Fluid:

2.5-2.75 Qts. of Mercon Dexron ATF #III Needed. There is no Fluid in Transmission.
